Stylish Coffee

Stylish Coffee storefront in Chatan, Okinawa

Have to start somewhere, right? Well, it begins with Stylish Coffee on Miyagi Street in Chatan. First of all, don’t make the mistake and walk in the first door on the left once you park in their parking lot. It’s actually a salon. Looks cool though. But, after you enter the second door from the left, you walk into a really small room. Togo coffee it is! Thought we’d have a sit-down coffee shop and work on some stuff on the lappy tappy. My fault. Didn’t look in great detail at the google link to this coffee shop.

As always, everyone here is always so welcoming and offered us to look at the menu on a tablet. First time here for that. We ordered a pour over of light roast from Rwanda, hot, and I got a cold brew because, it’s.so.hot.here. Right when you walk in, the counter is to the left and there are two bar seats. One customer was there already. Three steps ahead looks like a roaster and to the right is a little shelf that have already roasted prepackaged beans. We literally didn’t take another step from when we walked in the coffee place because it was that small. It took a couple of minutes for the employee to make the pour over and my cold brew came straight out of the fridge. After we got our drinks we bowed our heads and said thank you to the guy that made the coffees and headed back out into the heat.

The pour over was good. Had some flavor but not too much. Cold brew — meh. Something to cool me down. Not sure if I’d go back before visiting other new coffee shops here. On to the next one!
