Delight Farm Coffee Stand

Entryway of Delight Farm Coffee Stand in Uruma, Okinawa

There are quite a few coffee shops in Okinawa. And they all have their uniqueness to them. This place in Uruma is another example. Small-ish setting with two to three tables. We came here the other day to talk about the headache-ness of finding a place to stay. We don’t need to talk about that process.

As you enter this shop, you walk up to register. The whole feel of this place is nature and woody, I’d say. The menu is quite limited and mostly in Japanese. We ordered what we can read and thankfully, one was pour over. The other was an Okinawa Coffee Tea Latte, which had a Japanese description underneath it, but I didn’t bother to ask what it was and just ordered that.

We walked into the adjacent room and started our conversation about choosing a place to stay. Before you know it, they brought over some cold water and a couple minutes after that, the pour over was done. A couple minutes after that, the latte was ready. The owner was very nice and explained what it was. He said that they do grow coffee beans in Okinawa but what was different was that they used the leaves grown with the coffee beans to make tea. I had no idea, but it was great! It definitely had a tea fragrance that was very unique and simple. It was not overpowering at all. I’d think I’d go back to get this again.
